Communicated by my Higher Self

Annie went back to her political site last evening, she hadn’t been there for a week. It is a new political site for her, and her preoccupation was how to beat the block. She has been invisible all the previous times she posted there, and expected to go right on being invisible. Which is why she was stunned when someone posted to her “Lulu, you are a total idiot. You have killed this thread. You don’t know anything . Get off this site.”

Her first thought was “O no! not this crap again! I am so tired of being bludgeoned on political sites.” But of course I want her to stay there. She needs an escape in the day into just total concentration. To simply focus her mind and be away from her life. Her husband was watching a football game and was totally frustrated by the coach's poor decisions. The movie on TV didn’t interest her, the book she was reading bored her. Posting on a political site seemed like an ideal way to escape from a frustrated husband who had waited all year for the opening of the first Wildcats game, and was having such a terrible experience watching it.

So I just had her post back “I am not an idiot. I am fairly informed on this topic.” Which is true. She’s not an expert on the topic, but she has a good general grasp of it, and some hard information. She has given passionate thought to it for past 6 months, and spent quite a lot of time with Me about it. The poster was infuriated because he thought he was being contradicted by an idiot. He thinks Annie is "too stupid to post."

But there is nothing I can do about this. She writes short simple posts. Either her fellow posters see the form or the content. If they want to see the form and overlook the content, and decide she is a total idiot. Fine. "I look like a jerk" Annie said to me last week. It was the first time she saw her posts how others might see them. “So what!” I said. “Just post your truth.” I didn’t see any point in her making the effort to sound impressive, in fact I thought it would weaken her content.

I am not sorry she got screamed at for being an idiot, even tho it came as a shock to her. I didn’t like it that she felt so invisible there, because she thought everything she wrote fell on deaf ears. Now she sees people do read her posts. So she will put more energy and thought into them, and find it more gratifying to post there.

It is great she is on a new political site. Altho she had richness of intimacy on her previous sites, where they all knew she and she knew them, it is an adventure to be on a new site with new people, where everything is new and unknown.
