A Little Reality in a Practicing Spirit is Always Food for the Soul

OK - I'm entering the 21st century and starting to BLOG. sigh.

I'm not new to the internet - my first e-mail address ended in "nasa.gov" back in 1990. I've run two IT start-ups; one IPO's the other tanked. Now that's a story for another life! But putting myself out on-line - well, hummmm. I can say anything within reason? What's reason to the reasoner - a justification to act.

Act up, act out, act in a role, on a roll, jamming. All familiar ways of being, I do live in Berkeley after all.

So what's The Secret? 80's hype re-spun. A money-maker for the author (who stole the content) and a panace for the materialist and those striving to excel in this paradigm. Well, good for them, but perhaps not for the Earth.

But while your dreaming and scheming - have you considered making sure that wealth, your wealth, flows evenly thorughout your communities? Have you actual FAITH in the flow of your abundance - a belief that you will always have what you need, proven through actual experience? Or are you taking to The Secret from fear?

It takes immagination to dream, self-awareness and confidence to state goals, discipline to reach goals, and savvy to maintain them. These are learned skills - BUSINESS skills for the most part, with a little personal psychology thrown in. They are NOT taught in public schools so to have access to them one often needs to have wealth in the first place. Those who need them most seldom have free and abundant access to them. One cannot manifest the secrets of THE SECRET without them.

So many Lightworkers that I've met simply can't dirty their hands with the details, muddy their minds with knowledge of a word-full world. I mean - what good is enlightenment if your physical body is starving - and you haven't upgraded to eating sunlight as a lone means of support? It boggles my mind.

Business - when acted as an artform - is not lacking Light, or inspiration for that matter. It has been my experiences that CEO's are some of the greatest visionaries of humanity. But to bring in the LIGHT, to work with it in tangible, practical ways that link up Spirit and bring it down to earth is VITAL in the third dimension. As vital as offering up the fruits of our labors to Spirit. As above so below = As below so above. The business of Life, is, well...business. It's full of details that need managing, deals that need negotiating, relationships that need attention, accounts that need balancing, and demands risk-taking if one is to evolve. How interesting it is to me that the very word 'business' seams to leave most 'spritual' people reeling in the dust.

Ken Wilber along with my friend Dick Anthony spent a lot of time pondering about 'spiritual bypassing' and I think it's a concept worth mentioning. It's a 'you can't get there from here' sort of philosophy, and one that items like The Secret fail to ennunciate clearly. In other words there's a LONG WAY from intelligence to wisdom.

With effort ( like attracts like) one can learn the basics of third deminsional attraction - it's basic business skills combined with a decent sense of personal worth and health. It's really not rocket science - but the laws are earthbound and consistent. Do your homework, persevere and you'll get there.

Yet, what to do if you if you are missing key ingredients? What can you do if you can't imagine a solution, find your face in a mirror, or know any resources to help you? Will The Secret help you then?

Of course not.

Did you know that people get rich off you beliving that? That MOST business and spiritual seminars sold at those mega conferences for hundreds, often thousands of dollars are NEVER opened by those that buy them? It's true. Less than 15% of those that buy these products ever open the box and less that 3% EVER USE THEM.

The folks who have done their work know this, use this and use your DESIRE to be better to their advantage. They know the rules of the game, they know their psychology and their marketing - and they apply it TO YOU.

If you skip the hard work of self-examination, the pain and the suffering of self-knowledge, the BORING slog through biz courses, for the fun and light-filled wonder of higher-dimensional games, you're guilty of spiritual bypassing.

The consequence? You might have some beginners luck, some initial success, but it won't hold for the long run.

Practice is as practice does - and practice applies to all of the chakras, not just those you favor. There are seven areas to perfect on the third dimension - to attain some degree of mastery over, and there is a real need for all of them to be on-line at the same time. Each 'wheel of Light' needs to be free to function, to address, to attain and to ascend to the light realm instruction you constantly bring in. With each enlightenment comes an in-light-moment - to be integrated into each of the seven centers. Each of us has centers we excel in, and those we do not. Spiritual by-passers skip the later and over-fill the former. An unbalanced portal of Light is a weak link in a human body - an area that can be unbalanced easily, or preyed upon. A strong one acts as a shield, a full complement of seven is a warrior's power.

I've know many people who claim to 'see' ships, be masters, fly to far away places, etc. They may, but their personal lives on Earth are in shambles. I hate to point it out to them (but I do) that they, wheter they like it or not, live in the third dimension - and here's where the work is. Isn't it? I mean if one believes in an omnicient source of creative intelligence isn't it a bit daft to second-guess it? I mean you're here, might as well make the best of it, roll up your sleeves and bring on the Light!

So keep it practical people. Check into your centers - your sense of self and well-being, your relationships with others (and this includes the grocery clerk and the nutjob that just cut you off on the freeway.) Keep upgrading your intelligence and while you're at it your intelligent love (are you re-creating less than wonderful relationships? Do you have some?) Are you using your voice to create changes on Earth as you revel in Spirit? How do your visions bring light to the Earth...really? Most of us have no problem receiving information from the realms off-planet - but testing them, using them in the third dimension on THIS world, that's the question, isn't it? And, in my (seldom) humble opinion, the reason we're here.

So, don't discount the Earth. She may be muddy, fecund, and under seige - but she's the planet that's given us our lives, and while we have them on this cloud-filled, water rich, fire-fueled, dirt clod of a planet please spend some of each of your remaining days adding to the PHYSICAL BEAUTY of her, and filling your memories with Her glory - while there is still...time.
