Be at Peace

Be at peace, my friends.

Sometimes the weight of the physical world intrudes upon our inner sanctum. We, as earth's people, cannot help but feel drawn into the daily sorrows, worries and troubles of others.

We care for our family, our friends and for the people of the world.

But sometimes, we forget to care for ourselves. We forget that we also need nurturing and loving. This is especially so for those of us who are mothers, fathers and grandparents. We so often put the needs and wants of others before all else. This is a good thing. We are loving and caring.

However, we do need to take time out to partake of the healing waters of Mother River, to walk in the light of Brother Sun, to bathe in the light of Suster Moon, and to embrace Mother Nature in all her glory.

We need to be renewed, rejuvenated and to find our inner peace.

Take a few minutes, my friends, to just breathe.

Breathe in deeply and clear all the clutter from your minds. Breathe out and push all the negative thoughts and worries out through your breath. Breathe in again and take in the pure, golden energy of the universe.

Do this breathing exercise until you feel more relaxed, more centred - until all negative thoughts and worries have left your heart. It will help you cope with the daily tasks that sometimes weigh you down.

Find that inner core of peace within yourself, and try not to lose sight of it throughout your daily lives.

And should you lose sight of it... take just one minute. Just one. And remember who you really are.

You are a child of light, a caretaker of your family, a beacon in the darkness for your friends.

You are special. You are worthy of being at peace with yourself.

Treat yourself with respect and with love so that you may grow to be all that you can be.
