Break a leg
Hello my dear friends.
I'm just stopping by to let you all know that I'm going to be away until the end of August, I'm taking a young group of actors to the Edinburgh Festival this summer with a play called Sweet UFO, which I believe is very special, it highlights the life of a young girl trying to over come trauma and it packs a powerful punch and has a good heart, and hopefully goes some way in highlighting the needs of young people in the UK today.
I've actually broken my foot can you believe, so I'm on crutches, but my cast have been rehearsing without me this week (as I have a back injury I've had to rest up) and I'm so pround of them, they're so determined to show the world thier talents - and its wonderful to see them growing in confidence and flexing thier creative muscles in ways they didn't realise was even possible, its been a hell of a journey, at times hard and frustraing but a massive learning curve for us all, and the reward for me was them saying,
"You don't worry about a thing, rest and let us show you what we can really do now! "
They've realised they can achieve anything they want, if they put in the hard work, do it for the right reasons and believe in themselves.
I know it sounds barmy, but maybe breaking my foot isn't such a bad thing after-all? - now they really know they can stand on thier own two feet, even if this old dame can't just now...
Lots of love to you all
have a great Summer
