From the heavens, they came

Noon, August 30th, 2009. The shadow of man had been towering over the people for far too long now. No more shadows. No more solace for the dying one. No more hate. No more contempt.

A brief respite was heard across the lands. They look above, to see who was descending upon them. It was Them, They were Here.

"Oh my god.. is this happening.." one remarked

"Do our eyes deceive us?" another proposed

"Brothers, it is time now, you can let down your swords." One said.

It was as if there was a great fire in the skies. All across the heavens we could see it. I know what I saw. I know that it was real. I know this is real.

"Are we going to die?" he said, his hands shaking.

"No." he said back.

"Why?" he said.

"We have completed the game, intervention has been pre-scheduled."

"Intervention!?" The man shouted.

"Yes, there are forces beyond our control, my brother.. We cannot change this, We cannot alter fate."

"Oh... My.. Go-" The man fainted in the field.

The T.V. came on, all over the news reporters were talking about the beings from above. Fear was spreading like hotcakes. Police had began walking down the roads to try and dampen the hysteria. The terran forces had began assembling their armadas, poised to defend against these heavenly intruders.

The public was distraught. Tears echoed across the lands. Nobody knew what to do. Everything was chaos. Everything was panic. Everything was coming down now.

Five O'clock news, the president appeared. "We are in communications with these intruders, everything is going to be okay, our technologies are capable of defending against even the most unexpected attacks."

"SEE, they're going to fucking KILL us. Did you HEAR him!!!! we are gonna FUCKING, DIE."

"Calm yourself brother, the illusion is being peeled away at this time. The man on television is not as confident as he appears to be."

"CONFIDENT?! WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK ABOUT CONFIDENT, WE ARE ABOUT TO DIE MOTHERFUCKER, FUCKING DIE."

"Not all are destined to continue beyond this point. But know, that those who do, will accelerate further than mankind has ever gone before."

"How can you say this when there are fucking aliens man!? Are you MAD!?!?! Are you INSANE?!"

" No my friend.. I am here to help you."

"Dear god. I -" He faints again.
