Why are there so many goofy sentences on here?

This has been bugging me for a while now. Why do so many people write like they're speaking old english or something? this one post I read went something like group 'a' did this but 'we need not'. That might not be the best example of overly embelished language but it illustrates my point. Am I just nuts or is there a LOT of flakey, overly-embellished language here. Get over yourselves people, if you wouldn't say it in regualar conversaion then don't type it to sound cool. That said, there are also a lot people on here who type totally normal sentences.
