a comb of coral stripping colour through her hair
a soft kiss on her cheek
her wings gently unfolding
her legs stretching across the satin sheets
her etched shoulder healing over the pale pattern

his snores waking the dead
his eyes being blood shot
the day looking like a glass of red wine
the bridge being cleaned as the roadway is closed
a sword glistening hanging unused on the wall
a cloak of ice hung unneeded on the coat rack horns
a helm of grand feathers brushing the top rafters.

A gentle fire glowing in the main hall
a bowl of hot stew resting on the table forgotten
a stein of hot pale amber wine clutched for warmth.
