60's Rock songs about the Ascension

OK, this may be a silly topic, but I am amazed at the perception of ascension some 60's rock songs carry. I was born in 1960 in the USA, and my favorite songs of that era were "Age of Aquarius" by the Fifth Dimension (!), "Shambala" by Three Dog Night, and "Crystal Blue Persuasion" by I don't know who ;D .

My brother recently downloaded a bunch of these songs from iTunes and made me a mix CD called "Forever is Now." When I really listened to the words again, I was struck by how accurately these songs predicted this time now, and the ascension! I was also struck by how early in my life I latched right onto anything connected to this.

Makes me want to Google these rock groups to find out how they knew!!
