Tattoo's and what they do for our souls

Having spent years watching the inked skins of friends, strangers and just about everywhere that you can see I have been planning on getting my own patch of skin inked with my own illustration, showing off my character, interests, artistic designs, spiritual choices.. But where is the best area to get it? I;ve already decided this choice is no longer to do with pain, as to get a tattoo is going to hurt any way anywhere.
It's about position. Not only do I need to worry about employment issues as more and more places will no longer employ you if you have a lip piercing or tattoo on your arm if it is still visible with the uniform on... but also what effect does it have on my spiritual body?

My friend comes from Macau, and he got a large chinese tribal symbol in thailand on the calf reaching right down to his foot. When he got home his friends and family thought he had joined the Triads, or disrespected god.

There is or course relgious views. Considering I believe in god, and freewill, but not christianity I do not count myself as christian so I have peirced ears and nose.. fine .. no problem, I will not feel as if I have disrepected god as if he gave me this body and freewill, I can do what I like with said body.

What effect does it have on my chakras, my aura? Will tattooing my wrists prevent any psycic abilities through the use of my hands?

Acupuncture, massage and reflexology is another thing to look into, if I were to tattoo my right shoulder will it effect my liver?

What places would be 'spiritually' [as in my spirit/soul] less harming??
