Animal Teachers
Some of my Teachers
Trickster Coyote played a prank on me last night, which made me see, how I take others perception of me to my heart. I need not do this as this causes me to be physically ill, especially when (or if I think) their perception is less than perfect of me- or negative. This is not for me; therefore, I must release this. I thank coyote for this lesson; even though I was quiet nauseas!
I want to share some of my teachers. I made a journal years ago and put some of my animals teachers that I knew of. A few have changed and new ones have come in, but I want to share a few of the ones with much lessons for me.
Coyote

First of course is Coyote. I love this picture of her. This is the same as I have on my journal. Flying through the air in hunt.
Coyote is cunning and humorous; she gets her teachings to us silly humans, across in this same manner. She is called Medicine Dog and the medicine she gives is sure to have you laughing at yourself; even if it is painful at first.
I thank you for my lesson, and what would you like in return??
Red Tailed Hawk

Hawk has keen vision and sees things others miss. Soaring over the earth from high above, he has a much larger perspective. Hawk teaches to view things from a higher perspective.
The red tailed hawk has been with me for 3 years now. I feel empowered when I see him &/or her fly over me.
Owl - Snowy Owl & Horned Owl

Owl is the bird of magic, wisdom, darkness and prophecy. Owl also represents Goddess Athena, whom is also a teacher of mine.
Snowy Owl helps me perceive people. She is strongest with me in winter. She allows me to rest while building up strength and perceptional insight.
Great Horned Owl is with me at night while red tail hawk is with me during the day. Great Horned Owl is strongest with me in the Spring. She gives me intuition of others and hints of the future. She has a warrioress nature of protection for those dear to her.

Raven
Raven brings me higher awareness and better understanding of my thoughts. With Raven, I also see others with clearer perception; seeing into their hearts and experiencing their feelings. – The first time this happened, it scared the living daylights out of me and I had to lock myself in the bathroom to cry.
Hummingbird

Hummingbird lets me understand lessons from the past. She/he also has opened me to seek the knowledge of herbal remedies and flower essence. Hummingbird also teaches me to seek my passion and express myself in creativity.
= =
Wolf had been a teacher at one time, but I have not seen him in awhile; I must not need his/her teachings. Jackrabbit was a teacher for about a year, I sense that he is waiting for more lessons in the future should I need them.
I had no idea that I had so many bird teachers until I began this post. Just call me the bird lady!!
I started to post this as a blog entry, but I wish some of you would share your animal teachers, I would love to read about them and it is very good to write about them; I know, This Post, has given me much insight and understanding of my teachers and of my lessons past and to come. May I quickly identify & acknowlege them, and pass through them obtaining more glorious colours of light within and without.
Thanks for reading about mine.
