The White Sun

Has anyone ever witnessed the sun turning white? It looks very much like the moon with a very defined outline. It's different from the global warming effect where the sun is bright orangey red. This morning, I saw it for the second time, around the same time (8.05am)I witnessed it last year. I believe it signifies the period of the awakening of mankind. I know. I wish I had my camera with me. :(
