snake

Please help me with my dream last night, I have always thought of snakes as a hidden enemy. But I would like help with this one.

I dreamt I was at home, as I entered my bedroom all of my cats were there and what seemed to be my pet snake (rattle snake). I didn't want the cats to hurt the snake so I picked her up to put her away. I was holding her beneath her head, she began to freak out and try to bit me. I tried to hold her but she got me, she bit me but didn't get the fangs fully in and didn't inject me with her venom. I threw her down and ran to my parents. I showed them where I had been bitten, they said I would be fine. So I went back into the room and saw that my cats were killing the snake. I felt sorry for it so I stopped them. Only the head was left, but was still alive. She was begging me to heal her, if I did she would regrow the rest of her body and live on. Still because she had betrayed me I knew I couldn't no matter how sorry I felt for her. So I put her in a box and had planned on getting rid of her.
