Sending out hope to African children exploited in the name of religion

I just read this article.  Not trying to only single out these children, as children all over the world need hope and positive energy sent to them.  But I was deeply moved and shocked at what's going on once again in the name of religion.

I also recently watched a short film called "Ousmane", which focussed on what one of these little boys was doing, although the plot of the movie was more about his hopes for others.  Since I didn't know the culture at the time, I had no idea how what he was truly begging for.  It puts that film in a whole new light for me.
