Digimon and Emotions

I loved the anime Digimon. It contained alot of ideas about emotions. It was deep and unfortuantely came to the U.S.A after Pokemon, so it wasn't as successful.

I liked how each of the kids had a Digimon and a Crest. Each of the kids had personality. I guess they could have been archetypes. Izzy was the geek, Sora the tomboy, Mimi the girly-girl. It was very simple to understand.

Here are the Crests in Series 1:

Love
Courage
Hope
Sincerity
Friendship
Responsibility
Intelligance
Light

Crests in Series 2:
Love/Sincerity
Courage/Friendship
Intelligance/Responsibility
Light
Hope
Kindness

Notice how in season two, the things that co-relate converge. Ken ends up with the Crest of Kindness, as his reign as the Digital Emperor was cruel.
All these things can co-exist at the same time in the human mind. The same is true of the opposites; if you let life and desires overpower your happiness.
