Chiron - The Wounded Healer - Where Is Your Chiron?

I have been studying astrology off and on, for about 20 something years. Never seriously, just when things were going on in my life that I had a need to understand at a deeper level. I probably have 20-25 books on astrology, many of them gifts from others, so it seems that astrology was a tool that was supposed to come my way. There is still so much that I do not understand, just because I have never taken the time to study "properly". I learn what I need, then move on.

The reason I am writing this blog is about Chiron.

"The Asteroid Chiron was discovered in the 70’s to orbit between Saturn and Uranus. The incorporation of this asteroid in astrology has led to explain aspects of pain and empathy in analyzing charts of individuals. Chiron is a sensitive point in Astrology which reveals a persons vulnerabilty and ability to encounter healing in their life. Chiron in ancient mythology is described as a teacher, musician, astrologer and above all describes the wounded-healer aspect in his personality".

Chiron is an asteroid that symbolizes where we are the MOST wounded. The sign and position of Chiron in the natal (birth )horoscope, shows in what ways we feel wounded. I believe that it was no mistake that Chiron was discovered in the 1970's, as it is through Chiron that we can understand some of the deepest parts of our psyche, and in awareness, we can AHA, accept and let it go, something we are all doing now.

My own Chiron is positioned in the 4th house(mother and home), in Pisces(the fish)..  It also squares my Sun(my self) and is opposite Pluto(death, sex, healing, and transformation). These squares and opositions create a "stress" that makes us grow and they will not stop until the lessons are learned. After the lessons are learned, the energies will integrate and harmonize.

In this life, I have had huge issues with my mother, my home, death, physical abuse, mental abuse, and sexual abuse, and of course GOD. God let me down, did not protect me, no matter how good I tried to be, I always felt I was being punished for something.
I understand now, that this was NOT the truth, just the way I perceived it, and I blamed EVERYONE and did not take responsibility for my choices. But most of all I felt a victim of the worst prank in the Universe.

Once we recognize how Chiron operates in our lives, I believe it is much easier to work with the energies. We all have wounds and through understanding and acceptance, we can let them go and truly heal. Many of us carry wounds that have been with us for 10, 20, even 30 lifetimes, and it is time to let them go.
