Defense, help needed

Greetings all,

I'm sorry to post a topic like this. However, recent events have begun to manifest some very dark energies into my life that I cannot easily be absent of and I need guidance. Would anyone know how to defend one's self from attacks of any variety that arise beyond the typical physical kind? I'm thinking in the way of using guardians as an attack, curses, hexes, energetics, and just about any other kind you could conceive of with those you can't as well. As I said, very dark, very cunning. Any thoughts? This arises from at least two separate people but I may have as much as a tribe against me. I'd fairly count on it.

Reasons for threat:

Concerned with the presence of dark energies in my area I have been studying it in close proximity with the help of a number of others. This has been largely, very successful with a few very close brushes. Since then we cut back almost totally from all energy work for the protection of both ourselves and those we care about. However, this study has left a residue which has been most persistent. Having crossed paths recently with a Native American medicine woman, I thought to make a friend of her but instead I was mistaken as something akin to whatever would serve darkness. Given the very conspiratorial atmosphere of that community I strongly expect some kind of repercussion. This a very bad situation as, her and I actually serve the same causes and source. So if she or hers lash out, everyone looses. However, her threat was made clear and I would like to know what I can do about this? Any further talks that might resolve hostilities between us she has forbid. So, I'd like to know what can be done defensively?

This was resolved inadvertently through encountering the medicine woman and her subsequent threat.
