i find it fascinating how art, music and poetry can bring the best out in us. Sometimes we have to look back and find out what has taken place to inspire us in our various art forms. With this song comes a painting, poetry and music all of them came together to produce a reminder to practice the presence of the divine at every moment of our lives,in everything we do and everywhere we go. Searchin’ For My Soul
Hydonus/Sturgis
Ridin’ down the highway travelin’ down the road Lookin’ for the answers everywhere I go
Imagine all the memories friends that I have known
It’s my inspiration for searchin’ for my soul
Every where I go searchin’ for my soul
The blacktop runs before me as thoughts roll thru my mind
of places friends and highways I have left behind
Still I keep on ridin’ lookin’ for my goal
Somewhere along this road I’m sure to find my soul
Now I’m at the crossroad I don’t know which way to turn
No one to ask or show me a stranger all alone
Where will answers come from? The world looks dark and cold.
I stand at these four corners. talkin’ to my soul
Someday I’ll pull over and take a look around
Something keeps me pushin’ and I’m homeward bound
So I ‘ll keep on pushin’ while I’m on a roll
Where other lites are burnin’ there I’ll face my soul
