i never realized how much the restless mind keeps us from experiencing spirit until reading Paramahansa Yoganandas' interpretation of chapter one of the Bhagavad Gita. We have a contant struggle to overcome this lunatic mind and inertia continues to discourage our spiritual resolve. In the following poetry and song i observed this phenomena of the noise that fills our inner and outer life and often discourages us from our spiritual resolve. You may ask: How does this fit in with channeling. My answer is that all music is channeled. It is to the degree that we recognize that we are not the doers that we are aware of this.

Rise Above the Noise

Hydonus and friends

I’ve seen the cars. I’ve seen the bars. I’ve seen the people come and go.
Fair weather friends that had to end I’ve seen so many come and go.
You saw me search for the truth.
Some how you knew what to do.
Now I’ve cracked the code so many stories told.
I left their sound behind to keep my soul alive.
A pretty face a crowded room, you cross the floor, head to the door can’t stand the noise.
The words are cheap you stop to think, can’t stand the noise.
What stays the same? What doesn’t change?
As more people come and go. You stop to find what’s left behind as more people come and go.
I felt the warmth of your eyes. They talk when words tell me lies. A rare event comes true to help your soul renew. Sometimes the truth disguised behind sweet alibis.. A pretty face…..
