Channeling & discernment

I must admit that ever since I found the Light Worker community I have been a little overwhelmed. I've been reading blogs and channelings - it's still difficult for me to share things with others - perhaps, because I've had some negative experiences with the reactions of others when my journals were read by family members. For some reason I have been unable to complete even one blog here. I'm a bit intimidated but have known that at some point I am meant to channel for others and need to get over this "writers block" that I am experiencing. I recently read a blog by Passionate Lion regarding the “Space Brothers and the Ashtar Command", where he channels a statement that they "are more fantasy than reality" and since he asked for my comments I do wish to respond. Truth is although I have been channeling for some years I have never heard of the Ashtar Command. I communicate with Spirit Guides, Angels and also lost spirits that for some reason come to me. I immediately try to discern their energies and of course try to talk them into the light.

However, through the years of channeling and in particular during a period of time when a friend believed I must have been sent to her to be her personal psychic -  I  experienced what I believe was pointed out in Passionate Lions channeling when he said: "This Awareness indicates that if one believes that a kernel of popcorn holds mystical powers, and attempts to do something, that kernel of popcorn can be quite helpful in getting the thing done. Is the kernel of popcorn actually powerful, or is the belief the power that is acting? This Awareness indicates that many entities believe in the Ashtar Command and it gives them comfort and strength, just as a child might believe in a security blanket and might feel terrorized and naked without it. The security blanket might help the child through a frightening time or experience, just as the belief in the Ashtar Command could help some entities during their times of crisis. This does not mean the security blanket has any mystical power; it simply has a psychological influence because the entity believes in it. In itself, it has nothing but the ability to keep an entity warmer, but the energy attributed to it by the entity who believes in it is the force that gives it mystical power. This Awareness expresses the energies of Gratitude."

We give ourselves power to create any illusion we wish. Ones reality can be simply what we have created in our minds. Right now, my family is in crisis with a daughter-in-law that has psychotic episodes. She hears voices - the doctors say she is bi-polar and some of the meds she's been on have her cutting herself, attacking my son. She has so much anger within her. One minute I am the most wonderful mom-in-law, the next my son's a spoiled mama's boy. What is her reality? She uses her mental illness as an accuse, I believe she is a star child - sometimes referred to as Indigo children. I see her beautiful soul, I hear her inner child crying out for help. She wants to listen to me, I think, but instead of letting me help her (I give her CD's, protection prayers, books, etc.) she says she as an anxiety disorder that is sometimes impossible to control and we don't help because we expect the worse from her.  That's her reality, but it is an illusion. For she has a mom -in-law that believes in her beautiful soul, who loves her unconditionally and will do whatever she can to help . She also has a husband and son that adore her. Yet her daily life is miserable. I wish I could find a security blanket for her -  anything to help her deal with the past that has her so angry.
