Ancient Prophecies
End of time prophecies exist in many different belief systems. Christianity sports the Apocalypse, Hinduism describes the four Yugas, the Hopi's and other indigenous tribes all have stories which speak of an ending of time as we understand it to be. The Mayan calendar ends on Dec. 14, 2012. And, Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce have their versions of the end of time as well.
The Hopi prophecy has very accurately prophesied World War I and World War II, as well as man landing on the moon. The prophecy predicts that very soon there will be a third "earth shaking" unless humankind smartens up and literally cleans up the mess that they have created.
The Hindu prophecies are based on the philosophy that the Earth is going through a series of cycles that start with a Golden age of peace and harmony and progress and end with a Metal age of death and destruction. According to the prophecies, we are now in the Kali-Yuga or end of the cycles.
The Mayans see the Universe as being in constant motion. Not only do the planets in various Universes move around their central Sun, the Universes all revolve around a central Sun also. As our Universe moves closer to the central Sun, humankind "wakes" up, consciousness rises, and we advance rapidly forward in our spiritual development. As the Universe moves further away from the central Sun, we go back to "sleep" and wander around in a spiritual fog. According to the story, we are now in a "wake up" phase.
Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce both prophesied that the coming years would end in catastrophe. And, of course many Christians believe that we are indeed living in the end of times.
Now, I know that all of this sounds very much like a doomsday prediction, and that there is nothing ahead of us but destruction, despair and endings. But, according to all the various prophecies, there is another ending, an alternate ending, so to speak. Every one of these prophecies offers a vision of a better world, filled with love, hope, and compassion on the other side of the coin.
Recently, with the aid of high tech programming, a Bible code was discovered. According to some, this code accurately predicted the names, dates, and outcomes of wars, assassinations, world events, etc. The code also speaks of a time of destruction and endings.. but it also speaks of a time of peace and acceptance. And, in the middle of both possible outcomes are the words "Which will you choose?"
Love and Light..
