Consider Discussion
Hello all,
I just thought I'd put this out here and see what comes of it. I rather enjoy this site. Alot of people have alot to say and each, in their way, is helpful. I follow a belief that all topics and points of view, have a place. However, I also feel there is a need for wisdom to such a belief. Wisdom is seated in experience and so it is a thing that grows with time. It refines and perfects, transforms, and even seems to disappear or grow dormant only to reemerge like a butterfly out of a cocoon. Wisdom is seated in experience and experience is the weave that manifests an art and growth in one's heart that we call, very gently, compassion.
This post is as much a prospect to discussions as it is a question.
We are all here on this site for what I feel to be many reasons. I haven't yet heard a reason for our coming together. Many here speak as though there is a movement. Yet, the movement has no distinction that has been declared in words. Perhaps this is for the better, in fact. Many things that are given a voice and distinction loose their energy through the weight of many eyes giving scrutiny upon it, and then that thing is gone. It matters not if the thing be beautiful or ugly, needed or better off without. The effect is always much the same.
So this is not an attempt to have a word be given to this "movement" that seems to be felt by so many: all over the world. Nor is this an attempt to get a more momentum going. This is also, lastly, not a script of judgments.
I am asking anyone who reads this if they are able to enter into discussions? I find many here have attempted to open them and they get little response. While many topics that have an obvious close to them or no reason to respond are well received. These topics are met with a showering of praise, where it is felt that the topic holds truth and creditable sympathies to the objectives and/or hearts of those here. This is just as well and in fact, natural.
However, topics that might require a critical response, or a response with alot of consideration go without a great deal of remark. If we are indeed people of light and good will. Consider...
Many are searching among a very vast diversity of cultures, histories, mysticisms, and often conflicting answers from throughout their lives: even possibly many lives. We have so many people here with such vastly diverse lives and histories. Yet, hard topics, topics that might require conversation, analysis or an answer even just that, "I'll get back to you later when I have thought with it for awhile", seem difficult for many to respond to. I say this from the limited responses of such topics. There is no judgment held in this statement, merely an observation. Many probably feel not able to answer or unsure. This is well. It is difficult to give an answer of things we know little or nothing. That there is reserve in responses shows compassion toward the topics abstained.
I write this , knowing that, however because I wish to remind everyone that many have been lost. I'm sure there is not a one among us who has not needed answers, who had no guru to turn to, and stumbled very hard in the dark on their own: or even in too much light! So please, remember this. Remember to reflect on this as you abstain from answering topics you read: to reflect -why- you are abstaining or reserving your answer.
Free flowing and open ended discussions, not asking of conclusions, but merely information (having placed no restrains to the nature of the topics) are often some of the most powerful sources of information. It allows everyone participating and those who just read, to experience the vast diversities of -experience- that we ALL have. Avoiding discussion because you feel you have nothing to add is like avoiding yourself and putting yourself down. Why do this to yourselves? If you have something you feel is absent or can be enhanced by your speaking then there is. If we are truly beings of light, compassion, and goodwill... then none here will think less of you for it. Rather instead, we will be as blessed from your words. Each is a unique aspect of experience wholly separated from our own in that it is YOUR VIEW, and so all benefit. None have ever had precisely your view. This is why there is diversity at all. To make more diverse the great mystery that is life: made ever more mysterious the ever more we learn.
Remember this,
Remember compassion,
Remember you are unique,
and that your experiences are that uniqueness,
as we might experience them,
and remember that we here are not here to judge,
we are here to share!
to help and be helped!
to aid and be aided!
to comfort and be comforted,
and give and find guidance,
Namaste
