Of Whales And Frosted Penguins
My Shaman friend, Robert, recently wrote a post about watching a passing whale joyfully leaping out of the water on its way to wherever whales go this time of year. His post came at a good time for me seeing as how I was having one of those winter doldrums days. This has been a long, cold, and, at times, very snowy winter.
Now Robert lives in Hawaii and he can see the ocean from his home...and it's warm there. I don't know if they even recognize the winter season...maybe they have six months of summer followed by six more months of summer.
Up here in the mountains this winter we've had days and days and nights of...WINTER... COLD WIND...and ICE. That's why Robert's description of the whale had such a positive effect. It sounded WARM. Around here I wouldn't be surprised to see a penguin go waddling by wearing snowshoes and long-handled underwear.
I think even the "little fellers" have gotten their fill of the weather here. They are over in Texas zipping about in their ships and freaking out the air force.
Ah well, it will be spring soon enough and once more I'll have to dig out my hat to protect my head from all the radar guided bird poop.
Oh, bye the way...it's supposed to snow again tomorrow.
Live joyfully,
Lou
