Second part of my story of Ghenghis Khan

They had been lucky unlike former captives, who Ghenghis made witness the deaths of their loved ones. Now it is time for us to celebrate with a traditional victory feast, in which we honour our ancestors and the Gods. The way we do this,is by singing our traditional songs, prayers, and toasting our ancestors and the Gods, before and during the feast. We are all looking forward to this as we feast and celeebrate for at least three days. Several months later, after another long and tedious battle, Ghenghis's men are waiting for him in a prearranged spot, in the ancient, thickly grown oak forest. It is a clear, crisp morning, the sun felt hot on his skin, the w.ind whipped some of his hair around his face,Ghenghis rode his favourite piebald horse named Saladin, to the rendevous in the forest. The horse snorted,it was startled by a raven which had flown quite close. Ghenghis could smell the dark, damp earth,it's mouldy perfume teased his nostrils with it's scent,as he moved deeper intio the forest. He smiled as he reflected on the ancient tales,of this oak forest being home to the Druids. This forest was held to be sacred,no spilt blood marred it's beauty and majesty. When in it's hidden depths, one can feel that any minute, you might encounter around a bend,Druids performing a sacred ritual.Gnarled and twisted as some of the oaks had become, they still hold beauty and magic within them.Acorns are all ssattered and widespread on the ground, like a carpet of potential growth, under one's feet. Suddenly Ghenghis appeared, like a ghost on a misty night, before his band of warriors. We were supprised, for he wasn't expected for days. We had been playing, a gambling game with stones,we were fond of doing so, whenever we got the chance to. We looked anxiously to see the expression on his face, to pertain whether things had gone well for him. It has been a long, tedious campaign,we all long for the comforts of home, our women, our families, and a good night's sleep. Hurray! We are going home, now everyone is looking forward to the feasting and celebration that will occur when we get there. On our long, weary ride home, Ghenghis kept thinking and reflecting on the events of the battle today,he felt the bloodlust rise again, whilst envisioning his hated enemies falling at his feet,at least half of them by his own sword. For he was a ferocious and fearless warrior, many of our young men aspire to have as much courage and fortitude as him. For Ghenghis was leader not in name only,he was always first into battle, thereby risking his life everytime. Today we have been at war with the Hordes again, they are smaller in stature than us,nevertheless, they are hearty fighters. The fighting has been heavy and ferocious, many have fallen. So the battlefield was full of dead, wounded and dieing men. Their blood fell to the ground like a crimson river, floeing over the land and stainging it. For now the battle is over, we are victorious once again, as foretold by Gertrude.
