How to use this site? Search engine? YES!!

I posted this in several sections hoping people would read it.

I don't know how people surf to blog entries. It seems like
there may be many paths to follow to stumble upon them.

With that in mind, is there a SEARCH feature of this website?

I'd like to be able to search for friends by keyword. (If I can't
remember their user name)

I want to be able to serach the whole site for key words, like
location "Florida" or "dream state" etc etc.

Anyone know if this is currently possible or how it might be
possible to add it? It could be a programming/bandwidth issue.

THERE IS A GOOGLE SEARCH BOX UNDER THE POLL ON
THE FRONT PAGE. IT SEARCHES ONLY THIS SITE, NOT THE WEB.
(that is not intuitively obvious, since google usually
searches the whole web, this is geared to just this site)

Maybe the search tool could be located in a more obvious
spot or on all pages as a menu item,that would help a lot.
