The message obscured by Glitz?

My poor old Laptop Pentium 3 500 MHz has finally given up.
The amount of flying Cherubs and flashing Pink fairies has finally caused it to crash once to often. it's got to the stage when on certain Personal profile pages it cannot cope with the amount of "Glitz". I tried leaving a message on a 'Friends' page and the words came out backwards. Please can we moderate the Clutter as the message is getting obscured by Wallpaper and 3d Cartoons of questionable quality.
Or am I the only one with this problem? Is it a Gender thing?
Sent off for a new Motherboard and a faster processor so I can keep up.
I wonder what size of Giga Brain computer is required to service this Web site? Perhaps it's on another Planet.
