Poetry - Remembering Who I Am

Remembering Who I Am

Gazing into the sky things become disoriented
I am shaken by thoughts that do not belong
I lay down my head and close my eyes, trying to ignore
Where do you take me, I don’t need to see
Put me down and let me rest
On bended knees I sob for the innocence I once knew
Lost for so long, reality is blurred and contorted
Tears of truth burn down my cheeks
Waves crash into the ocean
The ground gives way to the sky
Stars dance and the moon shines bright
The sun awakens with cause for celebration
My feet gently touch down, remembrance is my thoughts
Wandering for so long the path is rediscovered
Tingles engulf me as I realize who I truly am
I have slept for long and my journey awaits the journey that I am

Once again thank you so much for allowing me to open my heart. I am blessed to be a part of all of you, you are all truly the light and love. I thank you for shining your light on me so brightly.

Namaste, Peace and Love!
