The Wounded Healer
“How is it possible” you ask, “to give to another that which was not there for you? How is it possible to share something you feel you have not only been lacking, but maybe searching for most of your own life?” The answer is simple and quite beautiful if you care to listen for a bit.
You have heard something similar to, “The best healers are those who have been wounded.” It makes sense, does it not? You would think, one who is considered a “wounded healer” is one who has HEALED ALL WOUNDS and now their “cup” is so full it “runneth over” with so much extra for those with similar “holes.” That is but one way to understand its meaning. The other may surprise you.
A most wonderful healer can be one who still has the “holes” of emptiness. Who still searches for the comfort and answers to their own issues. One who has not yet found what is needed, is so in tune with what is needed, that finding it for and giving it to others, is as natural as being present.
You do not have to “try” to Be here to exist, just as you do not have to “try” to be present. Sometimes one does not even have to “try” to heal as “You are all healers in the Oneness. Believing is enough.”* The ability to heal is your birthright, and there are no exceptions. In Being who you truly are, you open the door for others to do the same. In accepting all that you are, others find safety in their own skin. In trusting yourself, you become the Trusted. By simply Being, you are a Master Healer.
Be. Be there for Yourself. Be there for another. Be there for All. Just Be. In doing so, you will “show up” with exactly what is needed, and when you heal another, you heal Yourself.

*I put this quote in bold letters because I saw/heard it during the night a few years ago. I first saw the cover of what looked like a black book and it said A Course in Miracles, then that phrase on one page. The page turned, but in my journal I wrote, "It flashed so quickly. I couldn't read it." Now, four years or so later, I am finally going to attempt to read A Course In Miracles. Just got it yesterday. Wish me luck! It's a real doozy!*
