Love Letter
Love Letter
I have loved you always, even though we just met.
Now, I weep for my birth, and I weep for my death.
The love in your gaze has stripped away my veil,
My place of safety in the shadows,
Where you could not see me,
You could not know me.
You could find nothing wrong,
Because you could not find me.
Now I tremble in fear at the fierceness of your love.
I burn to be consumed, and to consume with all I am.
You take me in your arms and command my submission,
And I die again to be born again.
In that moment time stands still, I want for nothing.
I am in a freefall…my façade crumbles…
My heart opens wide, my body opens wide,
My mind is consumed, my soul bares itself to you.
I am exposed, naked, afraid, and so alive.
Within your gaze, I have seen something intangible,
I have seen that which I have feared, I have seen Love,
I have seen Myself.
With love, now and always...Libra88
