Under A WillowTree

Listen to the wind as it chimes thru a tree
feel the sun’s rays playing peek-a-boo
in between the tree’s branches

experience each branch
of the tree
they are so different
and yet they are the same

each branch securely attached
to it’s creator
and yet free
to experience life

each branch is part of the tree

each leaf freely expressed
as gentle life
as gentle as a wish

each leaf a kiss from the universe

notice how as deep as the tree is rooted
its roots reach far and wide
it reaches upwards towards the sky
as if it were extending
a hug up to the sun

always growing, always changing

and yet remains firmly grounded

the tree is vital to the earth
the earth is vital to the tree

the earth blesses us with the trees

and so we must protect
the gifts of unconditional love

expressed as the trees

a tree has so much wisdom to share
walk gently

become one with a tree

a tree will reveal the portal
to those willing to listen

quietly, gently, and peacefully
sit under a tree and listen
to her story
