My Head Is On Radar

You know, all of Creation is wonderful. The intricate-ness and beauty of the rose comes to mind as an example. And the wonderful fragrance of it. Then there are the trees. I especially love trees...which is good I guess since I'm surrounded by them up here in the mountains.

Trees, however, bring into consideration another denizen of the natural world. Birds. Birds are a delight to watch but have you ever considered that they possess a very special talent? I think they have a super accurate built in radar with a flawless targeting system. How did I come to this conclusion? Well...follow this if you will. A bird gulps down a big meal of nice juicy berries and assorted bugs. Now he needs to "GO." So, he takes off and circles a bit. Then he looks down and smiles. (I assume a bird can smile but I don't know how that looks) Anyway, brother bird circles and from an altitude of 1,000 feet, with a 10 mph crosswind, and hundreds of trees scattered around, he lets go of his "load" and it hits me dead center on the head as I step into a small clearing in the forest below.

This has happened more than once. It certainly isn't miracle material but I wouldn't rule out "divine mirth." On one occasion I am sure I heard several small chuckles from the inner planes. I can almost visualize God calling the Angels around, pointing out first the bird, then me, and then saying, "Watch this!"

I always try and maintain a sense of humor for I know it puts me in closer contact with our Creator.
