The significance of our health...
Hello All :)
Let me begin by saying, although not certified in any way in the health profession, I have always had a curiosity and intuition about good health and have read much on the subject. But I speak mostly from my higher self, which seems to know best what's right for me. So with that, I continue...
Good health is something most of us want in life, but for many of us, it is just another item on our wish list. For many, it is something we strive to do. In other words, it's something we go out of our way to do. It becomes an inconvenient chore, and many of us never reach our goal. But although I believe it best to 'practice' a healthy lifestyle, I believe first and formost that being healthy was not meant to be a chore, but rather, is a byproduct, a reflection of our spiritual state. This isn't to say that all spiritual beings are healthy, and it's not to say that good health is only for the 'spiritual'. It simply means, that when you live in accordance to a high spiritual standard, you will be in harmony with Mother Earth, care for her well being and crave those foods which she naturally provides for us. When we stay in the light, we naturally are happy, creative and ambitious. This promotes a well being through staying active and allowing our creative juices (which are very healing) to flow abundantly. Happiness, is probably the most powerful natural healing energy we have conveniently available to us.
Why do most people believe they want to be healthy ?
1) It is what we're told we 'should' do. We just lost the rebels of the world on that one :)
2) We want to live longer. Good point. This is why the yogis of the world practiced Hatha yoga. But it wasn't out of fear of dying or an attachment to the world. Longevity meant a better opportunity to reach higher spiritual states here on earth.
3) Hate doctors ! yeah, me too ;) Not really, but who wants to spend their time in a hospital or bed ? No one (hopefully).
A spiritual life and health:
1) Honor Mother Earth. As the Native Americans did and others. She provides the nourishment our bodies need most. Eat fresh, no chemicals and lots of spring water. Observe the cycles of the moon and sun and rest accordingly. Remember, we have just as much to accomplish in our sleep as we do in waking consciousness.
2) Spend time in nature. The fresh air and sun rejuvenate every cell in our body. The sounds of nature are also healing and calming. The sounds resonate deep within every cell to remind us of our divinity and unity.
3) And the answer to the big question...what's it all mean ? CREATION. It starts with creation and never ends. Life is about endless possibilities. We naturally have the desire to create. Whether it's art or music, poetry or buildings. That inspiration in us is the divine spark which is responsible for everything we've ever known to exist and beyond. It is the white light, the Kundalini, the Chi, the Holy Spirit and so on. It is responsible for our desires, emotions, intellect, sex drive, and our ability to love and feel divine. Nurture it. There is nothing more important. The condition of our lives depends on how we nurture the light within us.
I could go on for a while yet, but it's a good start.
I feel empowered just writing about it. Then again, it fed me the inspiration and knowledge to write. We all have this gift. Use it, cherish it, and you will have lived the best and healthiest life you were meant to live in this lifetime.
more to come...
Be well.
