WHATSOEVER YOU DESIRE,

BELIEVE YOU HAVE RECEIVED IT AND YOU WILL

On Sunday morning, thousands of people recite the Lord's Prayer, but never
absorb it. Scripture is filled with beautiful statements such as "Ask and
you will receive." "Whatever you desire, believe you have received it and
you will." Parrot them and they are marbles, but if you will take these
profound statements and fondle them, dwell upon them and gradually absorb
them, you will learn to live by them. Then you will not think in any other
terms. So, like a handkerchief, begin to absorb the truth and no longer just
accept it. Don't accept the teaching as some little toy given to you from
the outside. Tonight you ate dinner, and your system will assimilate all of
the food it can, and expel the rest. And so it is with the mental food you
eat. If what is heard is not absorbed, it is expelled, for it fell upon deaf
ears. I could tell you night after night that you can be anything you want
to be, if you will take my yoke upon you, but you must take that yoke and
put my words into action, not just accept them like the marble.

.. the Christ that I speak of is within you, and his yoke is so easy when
your every thought is guided by love. And his burden is so light when
everything you do is done in love.

Now, he sets you free by giving you this great law saying, "Whatsoever you
desire, believe you have received it and you will." You mean regardless of
my educational, social or financial background, that if I dare to assume I
am that which I want to be, I will become it? Yes, if you will take my yoke
upon you. My yoke is easy, for I am the creator of your life, and nothing is
impossible to me.
