Jerry Seigel
Jerry Seigel (creator of world reknown superhero Superman) started creating comics due to the painful impact he felt due to the loss of his father. Seigels father was murdered by a thief shortly after the horrors of the holocaust brought about by Nazi Germany in the 1940's.
It seems the devastation Seigel endured enabled him to create a conscious manifestation into the hero within us all (aka inner christ, buddha, superman or whatever)
The mythology in his superman storyline was so influential that Seigel himself can go down in history as a superhero even though he was just a man (truth being that being just an ordinary man isnt just ordinary in terms that lead us to beleive what we really are).
Peak human development is more than taking on a career of some sort (doctor, lawyer, fast food worker, cashier or whatever) and Seigel knew that (as do all of us subconsciously).
The reasoning his mythology held such astounding parallels is because it was created from the heart (enabling him to recognize true good and evil). Sounds lame to some I'm sure but the power of the heart (or love) is the most powerful force in all the universe.
After doin my research, I must say that Seigel (and Shuster since his pencil and pen calloused fingers contibuted heavily to the storyline) are the Godfathers of all comic book mythology. Its these dudes that set billions of characters and storylines to flourish (and entertain us) throughout the years.
I just wish I could get my hands on own damn green lantern ring....lol!! That would most definately be whats up!!
