A few thoughts~

It’s important that we all act honestly in our relationships.
First be honest with yourself, then with others~ Nothing
kills love or friendship quicker than lack of trust~ And
nothing kills magic quicker than disbelief~

In ways I am still much like a child~ However, children
often have a clearer view than adults, unencumbered by
the foolish consistencies and shields adopted along the way~
And what does a child wonder? Why the people who are
supposed to care the most don’t seem to care at all~
Parents, friends, people who say “I love you.”
What did they really mean?
At times it seems they only care about themselves,
and you feel you’re on your own.
And a lot of us stop believing in the real thing~
That finding someone who’ll truly love and stand by us
just isn’t going to happen~
But why?
Could the answer not lie in our own shortcomings?
In our acceptance of injustice?
Is it that life isn’t fair or is that just the way we’ve made it?
If we all demonstrated the integrity to stand by our words,
do as we say and say what we mean then how different
would it be? As our trust and faith in one another
is destroyed, so to is our ability to share love
in it’s purest form~
Life may not be fair…
But that doesn’t mean we can’t be~

It’s been suggested that I take love too seriously~
I think the rest of the World doesn’t take it seriously enough.
That it’s truth and beauty have been diminished through
generations of withered hearts and broken promises…
In a sense, we’re all desensitized to love and it’s true gravity~
How it should be is what we must see, it’s where we’re going.
Forget about how it is… your heart must return to innocence~
Jaded means;
what should really matter, matters no more~

Whether you’re dealing with family, friends or even a lover
you should be open and honest about your feelings and
stand by your words~ And not just as long as it’s
convenient or impersonal~
Never compromise your truth for anyone, for any reason~
Never give advice you wouldn’t take yourself~
Never let fear make your decisions for you~ Do what you
believe is right no matter what others say~
No matter what the circumstances~ And never let the
dishonesty and shortcomings of others in your past
relationships validates your own bad behavior~
A lot of us know how to talk the talk…but there comes a
time when we must also be willing to dance the dance~
“The eyes of truth are always watching you.”

It’s time to stop the cycle of abuse and deal with people
in a more loving and positive way~
Honor your words~ Honor yourself~
Learn life’s lessons and help these people as only
you can~
But you’ve got to open your heart~
You’ve got to get it back to the way it was before
all the pain and mistrust~
You need to face your fears and stop taking
the easy way out~

I am within you, and you within me~ I am teacher,
classroom and student….and I am you~
Given a different gender, a different time and place of
origin, a different set of circumstance and our own
unique perspective~
I am the one true voice within us all~
