The December Solstice
Vertical Alignment: Mars (red), Earth (blue), Sun (yellow), Mercury (green), Jupiter (gold), Pluto (grey)
December 20 the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Pluto are all within 3º of an exact conjunction with the Heart of our Galaxy, the Galactic Center (GC). The GC lies at 27º Sagittarius. Mars and the earth are opposed the GC and in alignment with it on the opposite side of the sun.
The December Solstice occurs Friday, December 21, at 10:08pm PST; 06:08 UT 12/22. The Sun’s exact conjunction of the Galactic Center at 27º Sagittarius occurs December 19. Each day the Sun moves 1 degree, so it remains very close to the galactic center for a few days before and after this date. December 20 the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Pluto are all within a few degrees of the exact center of the Heart of our Galaxy!
This alignment portends a great shift for the Earth and an awakening for humanity. The global collective consciousness is being taken to a new level. Galactic forces and intelligence are being transmitted to our solar system via the Sun and a potent planetary channel.
The Sun radiates life force and will to our physical self; the heart of the Sun enlivens our soul. Mercury illuminates the mind, linking the soul and the personality. Jupiter expands the mind producing wisdom and links our solar system with the cosmos, hence externalizing the Divine Plan on Earth. Pluto, transiting the galactic center since December 2005, has been midwifing a total shift in consciousness, a transformation of personal and cultural values on the broadest possible scale. Mars opposite the Galactic Center and our Sun is aligned with both, and is also at a close Earth approach during this solstice! Mars provides opportunities for opposing forces to interact, creating the battleground between the soul and personality, thus in time giving birth to the spiritual warrior, one who has tamed his or her own warring nature and has made a passionate commitment to be a source of peace in the world.

December 17-23, 3 days preceeding and 3 days following the peak Galactic conjunctions, take some time to meditate outside facing the solstice Sun, which is aligned with the Heart of our Galaxy, Mercury, Jupiter, Pluto and Mars.
