Is it detox delusions or mystical contact?

The same old propaganda circulates in the outer world

While blood likewise spreads the poisons of civilization inside me

Is there evidence that the world is awakening?

Or are the hopes of millennia creating twisted dreams...again

Like an awkward adolescent realizing self-consciousness

Overwhelmed by the multitudes of roles she must play

The nations of Earth consider one another

Vying for dominance yet knowing they must be one

Am I a Christian, Moslem or Jew?

Say the voices reflecting propaganda

I am a human being

Says a heartbeat remembering its origin

Once I was a proud animal

Walking free in a land with no name

And a God who was always with me
