New Journal of Mindbody States

Dr. Rock's picture

I just found out today that I've been listed on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Mindbody states. Strange days, indeed. They've also invited me to publish a version of my paper "Further Clarifications on Ullman's New Abode." So, we'll see. It was also surprising to see that Stanley Krippner is also on the Editorial Board. Meanwhile I'll try to write more this weekend. Right now I'm finishing up a book review for the Journal of Transpersonal Psychology. Hope all of you are well--Mark A. Schroll

The Journal of Mindbody States (JMS) is a free, independent, double-blind-peer-reviewed online scholarly journal. The term "mindbody" is used by Allan Combs and Stanley Krippner to refer to "the entire set of mental and physiological aspects of a person's moment-to-moment experience" (Combs & Krippner, 2003, p. 50).

The goal of JMS is to allow all interested readers from any discipline unlimited Internet access to original, high-quality, cutting-edge manuscripts, reports, and letters published in a timely fashion.

Articles submitted to JMS may be theoretical, methodological, or empirical (both qualitative and quantitative). The themes published by JMS include: 1) the varieties of human conscious experience that transcend the parameters of ordinary waking consciousness, 2) those subjects that traditionally fell under the categories of "parapsychology" and "psi research," and 3) those areas generally referred to as "alternative and complementary medicine." Specifically, the topics in which JMS is interested include (but are not limited to):

- Altered states of consciousness
- Humanistic and transpersonal experiences
- Shamanism
- Survival of consciousness
- Mediumship
- Near Death Experiences (NDEs)
- Out of Body Experiences (OBEs)
- Anomalous communication (ESP: Telepathy, Clairvoyance, Precognition)
- Energetic processes (Psychokinesis)
- Energy healing

Please check back after January 15, 2008 for submission and publication details.
