Trust
Hello and thank you all for reading this! I have been pondering the word trust since a wonderful experience with a dear Brother of mine and I have learned some important things I would like the share. Once again, I thank you for reading this.
Trust is defined as follows by Dictionary.com (Most definitions excluded due to irrelavance)
trust
–noun
1. reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence.
2. confident expectation of something; hope.
—Idiom. in trust, in the position of being left in the care or guardianship of another: She left money to her uncle to keep in trust for her children.
The word trust is indeed defined well here, but how many of us truly understand what this means? Trust is to truly believe in something, to believe someone will hold your life in their hands and never let it go, to believe that you are on the right path always, to believe in the lessons you learn. Without trust, the world would surely topple, but this brings up a key point, if trust is so important, then why are some so quick to label others naieve? Perhaps they are so and perhaps not, but you must trust them to make their decisions with whatever input you give, regardless you must show some trust, but the degree is what decides the happyness of the parties involved. If you trust that person little you may intrude on their will and cause them unhappyness or discomfort, but if you trust that person alot, you will make your suggestion and leave it to them to make the decision, whether right or wrong, perhaps this does not help in business situations, but outside of that, in personal situations, it can mean everything to your relationships. Let me us broaden this scope a bit, when two people argue, it is clear they do not achieve anything but lost tempers and someone feels beaten, even hurt, if not both parties involved. What causes this sort of conflict then if it will only bring pain? A simple lack of trust. With trust, these people would not have lost their tempers as violently, they would have expressed their differences and not argued for more than a moment, even if they disagree, just to avoid conflict, for they trust eachother to eventually find the truth in the arguement's subject, or they realize now is not the time because there is too much tension. With trust we can truly begin to understand on deeper levels of how we interact with one another. Once more, we will broaden this scope, this time to a different scenario. A boy likes a girl(or vice versa), he is nervous and is afraid she may say no, this is yet another lack of trust. What we fail to see is that trust if the opposite of fear, when you trust something completely you never fear, and by not fearing, you avoid the hardships. Let us go back to our scenario, if the boy trusted whatever she said to be right for both of their lives at that time, he would not hesitate to ask her out, if she said yes, good, if she didn't, time to hit the mall.(:-)) By learning to trust on a deeper level, we understand that everything that happens, no matter how distasteful it may seem, is right, that everything will ALWAYS be alright and nothing will ever overcome them. It may be good to be practical, but with absolute trust, how often will you second guess yourself, how often will you be afraid, and how often will things seem unsolveable? Never. You will trust yourself to never fail yourself, you will trust things to always happen as they should, and you will trust that every problem will be solved, as well as every question answered, every beauty known, and every sorrow left behind. With trust my kin, we see that nothing is ever to be worried about, and because of that, we free ourselves. We must trust ourselves, we must trust others, we must trust the universe, and most of all, we must trust our creator, for he would never allow us to be forsaken. Keep in mind my kin, another good word for Trust is Faith.
I hope you enjoyed my thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated, I would call this Lesson 3, but I can hardly say I am teaching it when inspired as so. I give thanks to you all again for reading this, and I trust you all to prosper.
