Positivity Forum
The body politic. We are like moths and bats. The moth comes up with a way to evade capture by the bats, and the bat comes up with a way to better find the moths. So the moths develop a way to jam the bat radar and the bats come up with another way to get hold of the moths.
We humans are just like this. Put us in a system of any kind or teach us about how we can change, and in accordance with our personalities we will either toe the line or figure a way to evade or get around the system. We survive in accordance with our inclinations or by mastering them.
Positivity is the art of viewing things in a light which makes the impossible possible.
Help me with this. Tune within and give me positive affirmations to keep in mind in the following scenario.
A homeless couple has recently moved into an apartment near the Activity Center and Church where I work. They come over to solicit food from our pantry, which we are happy to give, as members donate it to our food pantry. They also visit all the other food pantries and free dinners in town. We're closest, thus easiest to reach. I helped the husband get an ID card so he could apply for employment. He bought a broken bicycle, but appears to be spending his erratic income on beer and cigarettes, rather than fix the bicycle so he can go across town to work. The couple are reasonably polite and helpful. When the wife had an excess of clothing given to her, she donated what she didn't need to the church to distribute. When this couple heard of another homeless couple's plight, they invited them to share their apartment, and introduced them to us for food donations. They are becoming more desperate in their searching for food because there are more mouths to feed. The homeless wife they have taken in is pregnant and due in January. The husband of the first couple sells the free bus passses he is given. He says he needs me to help him put together a plan for making his life work, step by step.
Thank you for your affirmative prayers!
