Yin and Yang--THE MEDITATIVE MECHANICS OF THE DUAL MODES OF THE TAO

I want to say right away, forget the forcefulness in your meditations. The Western approach, is, for the most part, too Yang--too aggressive. Even in the instances in which focus is necessary and certainly a prerequisite when directing energy by mind, LESS IS MORE.

One the cardinal rules of Zen and Buddhist/eastern thought in general is non-striving, versus asserting oneself to achieve ends or goals. I learned this the hard way being very Yang in my early years, always striving--even when I had discovered that it was fruitless. Yes, there are times when Yang pressure is needed, but not always and in most cases it is simply overused and definitely overrated.

We did not get into the world simply through an act of sheer will, although our willfulness was intrinsic in our desire to be reborn. Another factor left out in this effort toward birthing, was willingness to share space, not only with the elements that make our bodies, but with all those other souls who are a part of our being here.

So BEING HERE NOW, means also being "there" too, meaning we must be mindful of our connection with all other life. The key to this thinking and beingness is "networking," or learning that it is a communal effort that gets things done in the long run.

We want to get all the glory and accolades for what we have done, overlooking the fact that it was a collective effort that got us where we are, no matter where it is that we see ourselves as being. Beingness is Another-One-Ness, or all of us in it together. The keynote here is NETWORKING overides survival-of-the-fittest thinking and being. Without this participative symbiosis behind our entry into being, non-being would continue to be our only mode.

So we must learn to YIELD fully and unconditionally to what many might term "love" or UNITY with that which we desire. This is automatically inclusive, many beings mutually participate in our being there.

In your meditation of "letting go," and moving beyond words and desire, strive also for letting go of "go". Hold to nothing to recieve all things equally. And in your visualizations, yield to the realization of cooperative participation to achieve your goals, and I guarantee you, that you will get to where you are going much faster than merely "resonating" as taught by many popular methods of actualization.

So when you let go, than let go, go~

Warmly,
Nahu
