Reply to Velanthas On Kirlian Photography and Systems in the East
Excellent questions, Velanthas; and I wish I had more time to write but with say just a bit in brief. Yes Eastern wisdom has long known about mind/body unity or "no-mind" and energy like "Ki," "Chi," and it goes by many other names in other cultures. Wilhelm Reich called it "orgone energy," which he used to heal burns, cancer, etc. Reich came to the USA as he wanted the freedom to explore these mysterious energies, having had trouble getting his ideas accepted in Germany and Sweden. But Reich had his own personality issues too, even though he was on to something, but this is another story. Now to give credit to Stanley Krippner, because he's been investigating phenomenon like accupuncture and Kirilian photography since at least 1966. His first book is on DREAM TELEPATHY, which he published with Montegue Ullman and is based on 10 years of research at the Mamonides Medical Center in Brooklyan, New York. I finally was able to meet Montegue Ullman last year and have some interaction/correspondence with him. Again, its taken me from 1984 to 2003 before I was able to begin lecturing and presenting with Stanley Krippner. Stanley just turned 76 a few weeks ago. Stanley's second book is SONG OF THE SIREN: A PARAPSYCHOLOGICAL ODDYSSEY. It is this book that he talks about his inquiry of Russian parapsychological experiements, those in Prague, mediums in the Phillipines, shamans and healers throughout South America, and of course his more controversial chapter: Music to Eat Mushrooms By, which includes his long-time association with Mickey Hart from The Greatful Dead (Mickey, who I met once in 1988 at the International Transpersonal Association, has been investigating transformative music from around the world--much of which was funded by the Smithsonion Institute. Hart also has a book and CD out called DRUMMING AT THE EDGE OF MAGIC. Strangely, Krippner's office assistant is Steve Hart, Mickey's nephew--and believe me he earns his money as Stanley is totally focused when he's in the office. There is a reason he's published over 1,000 research articles and at least 15 books. But there is always more to learn and more to understand, and better ways to say things, and ways to use this knowledge. All the best to you, Mark A. Schroll
More than meets the eye.

Hi, Mark! Thanks for the latest blogs! Well, although perhaps the science is not yet there to validate it, systems in the East have long acknowledged and used the model of the human as having more than one body. If we built on the energy capture concept of Kirlian photography, I believe it will be possible to validate another of the energy bodies in the human being and investigate events such as dreaming and clairvoyance in depth by pinpointing their location and or source more accurately and seeing how these interface with the physical body through the human brain, eh?
Would the funding be more easily found if practical applications of such knowledge would allow us to build better computer hardware and software, for instance, or produce better teaching methods and media?
Lots of questions, I know, but it's good you and others in your field are investigating these phenomena as you all have been doing. Thank you for keeping us posted!
