Being a lightworker - is it about the intention or the result?

Hi,

There are lots of people here who probably wont recognise my name, I left a few months back, having spent a few months of intense time here, during which I met some wonderful people and learnt some valuable, but often harsh lessons!

I left because I no longer felt like I fitted in here. I had joined when the website was called 'World of Souls' which very much suited me. The thing is, I very very rarely refer to myself as a 'lightworker' either to myself or to others, so when the website changed over I more and more felt like this wasnt the place for me. That doesnt mean to say that I'm not a 'lightworker'. It depends on your definition of what a 'lightworker' is, as to whether I am one or not in your eyes. If a 'lightworker' is one who brings a high vibration of love and light to the world, then I would say I am a 'lightworker' (at least some of the time - nobodys perfect!!) However, if a 'lightworker' is one who INTENDS and WANTS to bring love and light to the world, then I am not a 'lightworker'. And the reason is this - I feel no need or have no want to bring light to the world, because in my eyes, EVERYTHING is all already absolutely perfect. To me its perfect with all its problems, all its wars, all its greed, all its insecurity. I have no need to change it because I love it all with all its problems.

Now the reason I am writing this is this. I actually believe that INTENDING to bring light to the world actually interferes with our ability to BRING light to the world. That may sound crazy but let me give you my reason -

If you are wanting to bring light to the world then on some level an assumption is being made that the world is less than perfect and that it needs and wants your help. Inherent to this is a judgement and a duality. As soon as the judgement is made that the world is somehow 'bad' or 'wrong' or even just 'needs help', then fear is also present in some form!

What if the world doesnt need our help? What if it is already perfect? Who are we to assume that its NOT perfect already - are we God??

I personally believe that the state of the world is none of my business. Its God's business, and thats good enough for me. I am willing and wanting to trust that, because it makes me feel good and happy to trust that. The moment I am able to trust in God and trust in the perfection of life, is also the moment that I am in love, in joy, and am free. And its also the same moment in which I am actually bringing light to the world through my love and joy and freedom. I am not able to do this all the time, because like everyone else, I have a whole bunch of fears which get in my way of trusting in this way. My work is about identifying and releasing those fears which prevent me from trusting in the perfection of life. And the reason I have chosen this work for myself is because it makes me happy to be in love, in joy, and in freedom.

Anyway, I realise that this may be a little controversial, and it definitely isnt my intention to deliberately offend people. And if its making you truly happy to be spending time deliberately spreading light to the world then thats great too! But this whole subject is what I was feeling when I left but the fear of stating my truth on this subject at that time was too great for me to be able to do this then. Now, however, I am in a slightly different position, and this is actually my way of sharing love.

Hope you all have a wonderful day
Andrew
