Begin Again

I have always loved spiritual words that made the heart feel right; good; as the light of creation, its beauty brings us, to THEE- A divine value, as we gather to be one, within. Inspiredbytherain

One of the best things we can do in our lives is this:
Begin again.
Begin to see yourself as you were
When you were the happiest and strongest you've ever been.
Begin to remember what worked for you
(and what worked against you),
And try to capture the magic again.
Begin to remember how natural it was when you were a child --
To live a lifetime each day.
Begin to forget the baggage you have carried with you
For years:
The problems that don't matter anymore,
The tears that cried themselves away,
And the worries that are going to wash away
On the shore of tomorrow's new beginnings.
Tomorrow tells us it will be here every new day of our lives;
And if we will be wise,
We will turn away from the problems of the past
And give the future -- and ourselves -- a chance
To become the best of friends.
Sometimes all it takes is a wish in the heart to let yourself ..
Begin again.--

FROM HEARTS I ADMIRE
A PATH OF YOUR OWN By Whitelight
You have a path to walk… an individual path, a path unique unto you. Yours is like no other. You may travel along it quickly or slowly, stop and go, switch directions and speed, even refute its existence, but you are always on the path. It is a path of discovery. Some call it a spiritual path. Spiritual does not mean religious, though sometimes it does involve religion. It is that internal struggle, that choice between right and wrong. But who is to make this judgment of right and wrong? Ultimately there is only one person that determines the verdict in the end and that person is you, no one else.

You can seek assistance from others, search for answers in books, look to the law of the land to make these decisions for you. But in the end you are the one that chooses which voices to listen to, which parts of the text to believe and which rules to abide by. You have blamed others for your plight, stating that you were given the wrong advice. You point to the rules, of which you followed, but were still led astray. "I was only doing what I was told", you said. "It worked for her. It should have worked for me!" "I followed the rules, what else was I supposed to do?"

The path is unique unto you.

Somewhere along the line you forgot to listen to yourself. You forgot that no two paths are alike. What works for one does not always work for another. Your path is forged by walking parts of various worn paths, following others who have gone before you. But do not follow just one of these paths. When you see another worn path, try it for a while. Then forge a section of the path yourself, cutting through thick brush into areas no one else has passed only to link back up with another path momentarily.

Walking your unique path is not to say you are doing this alone or that you need to constantly change partners with whom you are walking. You can be supportive of and receive support from someone walking a completely different path. Do not confuse the metaphor with the lesson. These paths are internal. They do not separate us.

There is no right or wrong. What works for one does not always work for another. Seek many sources for guidance, then listen to your own voice. It will filter out what is for you and what is not. Trust yourself.

The point is to realize you are special, your life is unique. Realize this, internalize it, do not feel that you have to follow others to be accepted. You are already accepted for who you are. Listen to your voice. Follow your own path. It will not lead you astray nor will it lead you away from those you are truly to be around...
