[Insight] The Hologame of Life, why we are here, and why our uniquenesses are important.

My beloved and I are fond of a free online Flash game called Adventure Quest which is at www.battleon.com. When I first joined the site, I really wanted to share about this game and an insight I've been led to thanks to it. Then other insights came to the fore. As everything happens for a reason, I share this now in the faith that it is of use to us all.

To play the game, one creates an account, and customises a character. You give specific details: hair, eyes, the works. Then you choose the type/path: mage, warrior, paladin, beastmaster, pirate, etc. You develop your character according to the path you chose, deciding what skills to develop, equipment to purchase, pets to acquire, miscellaneous items to collect, events/quests to participate in. The battle world is laid to have challenges for each type/path.

But of course, after a while, you decide that you are too limited in the type of character you chose, so you decide to create another character of a different path. You take on different pets, buy different equipment, train up different skills as this new character, and take the same quests in order to test your mettle. There are things you can only learn as a mage, for example, and certain strengths that you can have as a warrior, and even if you are in the same battle, you can't tackle it in the same way.

To me, this explains why the Great Spirit has manifested in each of us in very unique ways. There are things only you can do because you were created for this path. There is no need to question why you are you or why things happen to you in a certain way; you only need to be.

And you are not a tool, either, or some mindless meat puppet. You are a being with free will, and you proceed at your own pace on the path you've set for yourself, experiencing the full range of human experience and learning the valuable lessons only you can glean from the way you've taken.

And so celebrate with me, dear brothers and sisters! Each of us are indeed divine and uniquely beautiful, and together, we are in this game together, learning what we've come to learn together on the gameboard, and growing together as One in different ways.

Namaste.
