Hello Out There!

I have known of Lightworkers.org for the better part of the past year. I can't explain what took me so long to join, nor why it subsequently took me so long to start to really LOOK at the site and begin to participate, but I guess in the larger picture that doesn't matter all that much, anyway... :)

I have been conscious upon my spiritual path for 26 years, now (2007). I have waves of success and waves of not-so-much success, but I find it meaningful that no matter what transpires in my life I continue to come back to the Path. I have no real great training in any specific areas, kind of a spiritual Jack-of-all-trades, Master of none. I enjoy lending support, making my own attempts at education concerning New Age philosophies, and hopeful inspiration.

I am well-read (by some people's standards, anyway), and have the grasp of many different concepts - but am not always so quick on the particulars. I really admire the people who are able to retain the specific information on some subjects that they do! I consider myself to be somewhat of an intuitive, though wouldn't go so far as to call myself a "psychic" in the generally accepted form of the term.

I enjoy being a source for interpretation of concepts, being able to speak with someone and perhaps help clear their vision that may be muddled for various reasons. I guess if I were to be able to choose a spiritual career, it might be in the form of counseling. Maybe in the future sometime. I struggle these days with my own spiritual self-esteem, you might say - if I can't get a handle on my OWN life much of the time, I don't feel I'm in any position to be charging people to help them with theirs! lol Yet, at this point, I truly enjoy interchange for FREE, and have been told that my perspectives have been helpful to many. And that's the best return on my investment (time and energy) that I could hope for! :)

I hope to learn a lot here, and maybe even be a useful contributor. I have a group on MySpace (http://groups.myspace.com/enlightening) and a new discussion site that I just set up here last week (http://www.newagevision.com). My aim at this point in my journey is to open the lines of communication to FULL, to hash over our differences (with kindness and respect, of course!) and to discover where our similarities lie. It's all about the synthesizing of differing views - finding that, with all our different terms and views on this or that concept, we are all aiming for the exact SAME destination.

I look forward to getting to know everyone here!! Thanks to the site organizers for creating such a wonderful space of Light & Love! I am so pleased to be a part of this magnificent group of souls!
