astral projection

I've recently have heard info on astral projection, and realized that I might be experiencing it. I sometimes get the feeling (and have for years that something was trying to get into my body at night. It used to scare me as it felt "evil" to me. I now know that the feeling in not an evil entity, but quiet possibly my own self. I don't remember where I go or what I see. But I feel if this is in fact happening there is a reason.
