Recurring dream

Wondering if anyone can shed some light on this one?

I have a recurring dream every so often that started after I moved out of my parent's house for good after college (over 11 years ago). There was no big incident when I did move out for good, I had already not been home for a few college breaks by that point, and it was just a matter of getting the rest of my stuff. It was a peaceful experience, so I know it isn't literal, especially that I'm having it 11 years later. There is something figurative about it that I haven't figured out yet.......

I have this dream that I am home with my parents for the summer on break from college and we get in a huge fight and I start packing up all my stuff and say I am moving out for good, not coming home on college breaks anymore. Then I drive up to school, and look for a job and apartment.

Sometimes there are a few other things that vary, but the general gist of the fight with my parents and me moving out for good are always the same, and for some reason it's always on a college break.
