God said:
Do you begin to see now how life unfolds? You open up what is already ready for you. You open up the package that has arrived.
When you take a pair of pleated drapes out of a package, you don't have to make the drapes fall in folds. They simply fall in folds. They are already arranged so all you have to do is open them up. What was there for you to do but open the package and hold the drapes up?
And so it is with life. You are fraught with decisions and responsibilities that aren't exactly yours to make. Be alert to see what has been prepared for you. You do not make life happen. Life has a mind of its own. You can allow it. You must allow it.
Of course, you have your own wishes and desires. When they arrive, you know they are yours because you deliberately asked for them. And yet many good things come to you unbidden. Sometimes good fortune is staring you in the face, and you don't even see it. Or, if you see it, you see it as a cast-off. You reject it out of hand. You simply don't see it for what it is or what it might become.
There is an expression "in the box" and "out of the box." Sometimes you have to be out of the box so you can see for yourself. A box is a prescribed configuration. It is manmade. It has crisp corners and straight sides. Sometimes, in order to see a world of opportunities, you have to step out of the box. Those who made the box ahead of time meant well. Maybe the box has good choices for many, and yet, what's in the box may not always fit you.
Your life is like no other. Maybe you don't have to have what the world prescribes. Maybe your life is unique. Certainly, your life is unique. Certainly, not everyone has to depart from the norm in order to have their own life. Still, maybe you do.
Have in mind that you don't have to be tied to the past, not your past, not your parents' past, not society's past, and not to the expectations of others. Nor do you need to be tied to your old thoughts. It is just possible that there is no ready-made map of your life, not even one for you to conjure up. Be unplanned in life then. You cannot always know what comes next anyway. You just have to find out. Is this not a lovely thing? Your life is alive and viable. It is not inert. It is not a stamp. It is original. Life is spontaneous. Life can't be spontaneous and, at the same time, be laid out according to specifications.
So life is for you to discover, perhaps without any map at all. Why do you need your life mapped out? In a totalitarian society, everyone is assigned what they are to do instead of finding out for themselves. Free will is eliminated for the sake of...for the sake of...convenience and uniformity. Uniformity is okay only when it suits your heart.
Let's come from the premise that you have a lot of leeway in life. It is a true premise. Have panoramic vision when it comes to your life. You live in a world of all possibilities. Do not omit possibilities for the seeming reason that you hadn't thought of the possibilities before. Let them occur to you now. How could you have thought of every possibility before it presented itself?
See possibilities now.
