The Story of the Mother Imperial Crow
George and I have a Swiss Italian friend visiting us at present. He was telling us a story of a famous Italian rock climber. We felt it was such a beautifully unique story, I was inspired to share it with you all.
Many years ago the rock climber took a baby eagle from its nest, he wanted to domesticate it. The parents almost killed him for this act. He became very attached to this eagle.
When the Eagle died he wanted to replace it with another bird. This time he decided to take a baby Imperial crow. He new that this bird was very clever. It made many fake nests. He found it very difficult to find the real nest. He had been climbing up a very dangerous rock formation. Eventually he found a nest with a baby Imperial crow. He had the baby crow in his hand, and then the mother arrived. Saw him with her baby and looked him strait in his eyes. The energy coming from the crows eyes was overwhelming for the man. He saw a film across the bird’s eyes, and the light changed in them, it seemed to him that the bird was going to cry. He was so affected emotionally; it was breaking his heart to see the mother like this, so he put the bird back.
He then decided to climb upwards. The Mother followed him singing songs of joy. It was like she was thanking him
For not taking her baby away.
He finally learn t the lesson the Eagles gave him many years before...
