The Shack by William P. Young
Has anyone read this book? It is a book about perspective, your relationship to All That Is, and forgiveness.
A brief synopsis: A father takes his children on a camping trip. His two older children are in a crisis on the water. He rushes to their aid, leaving his youngest daughter at the campsite unattended. The little girl is abducted and presumed murdered soon thereafter.
The pain, anguish and guilt that ensues are unbearable for him and his oldest daughter.
He is called back to the place where his daughter is believed to have been murdered, by a mysterious message from .....God.
It is a book that helps us to understand the many question we have about the hows and whys of events we feel we should be able to control.
It was just an amazing read and I highly recommend it.
